Recovered wines from the discovery of Grapariol to the Raboso Piave DOC valley.

“Barbaran Vigne e Vini” name that stands out in the Veneto wine region to be historic winery, inclined by vocation and tradition to “recovering and preserving” the oldest wine making traditions.
To demonstrate this, in the early Nineties Simeone Barbaran, his founder, started out by studying and recognising a very old vineyard uncovered nearby: he commenced the process of reproducing this plant, involving certain competent authorities specialising in the recovery of old Veneto grape varietals, and thanks to well-established researchers, began painstaking studies. Today, this grape varietal is recovered and has been recognised as “GRAPARIOL”, a rare, ancient and very interesting grape varietal from Basso Piave, with superior vine growing and wine making potential which has also drawn the attention of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy, which included it in the National Register of vine varietals in 2007.

Barbaran wine making company after 100 years of business, now proudly lead by its 3 rd generation with son and daughter Fabio and Paola taking the helm; with great care and skill, continue the activity undertaken by their family.
Both children, jointly with their father, support a Code of Ethics based on recovery as the conservation of the historic and cultural heritage of the varietals and a production that is not mass-based but much more of a niche-production aimed at preserving Quality, values which the Barbaran wine making company wishes to preserve and hand down to the next generations.

Wines certified by the Consorzio del Prosecco Doc (DOC Prosecco Consortium) and the Consorzio Vini Venezia (Venezia Wines protection Consortium).
What distinguishes us from the rest is the fact that we conduct our entire production process, from the cultivation of the grapes, to their manual harvesting, the vinification process, the ageing of the wine and, last but not least, the bottling and packaging of the bottles.
A process strictly controlled entirely in-house. Today, the product range offered by the Barbaran Wine Cellar aims to accommodate an extensive market demand, with native local wines (our pride and joy), national and international wines that place us on the Italian and foreign markets with the utmost satisfaction.
